Singapore International Agri-Food Week (SIAW) FAQs
The Singapore International Agri-Food Week (SIAW) gathers global industry leaders, policymakers, and innovators to build new partnerships and explore opportunities for agri-food technology development and adoption across the region.
SIAW is co-organised by Temasek and Singapore Food Agency in partnership with Singapore Economic Development Board, Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Tourism Board, A*Star and event organisers, Rethink Events and Constellar.
The global agri-food landscape stands at a critical juncture. Climate change, population growth, and resource limitations highlight the urgent need for transformation. Asia, with its dynamic and diverse agri-food ecosystem, has a pivotal role to play. The call for change echoes worldwide, demanding innovative solutions to ensure food security and sustainability.
Themed ‘Scaling Innovation in Asia’s Agri-Food’s Systems’, SIAW will bring together stakeholders of the agri-food ecosystem to discuss and explore strategies for scaling innovations. From regenerative agriculture and aquaculture systems to protein diversification and accessible nutrition, SIAW provides a valuable platform for knowledge exchange and networking, catalysing the transition to sustainable and healthy agri-food systems in Asia.
SIAW is a key step in developing Singapore into a vibrant agri-food hub in the region, presenting a full week of co-located and complementary events for the agri-food community, connecting entrepreneurs, corporates, academia, governments and international organisations to network and collaborate together. Anchoring the week of events are Rethink’s Asia Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Summit (taking place for the 6th time in Singapore), the SFA’s Roundtable on Novel Food Regulations, and the Agri-Food Tech Expo Asia, an experiential exhibition hosted by Constellar to provide opportunities for food innovators to launch, showcase and testbed their solutions.
SIAW 2024 is co-organised by Singapore Food Agency and Temasek in partnership with Singapore Economic Development Board, Enterprise Singapore, Singapore Tourism Board, A*STAR, and event organisers, Rethink Events and Constellar.
The Roundtable will be an invitation-only event. Regulators, local and international industry players, and members of international organisations will be invited to share best practices and experiences on technical issues surrounding the regulation of novel foods.
